What is Invoice Better?
Invoice Better is a simple iPhone app that lets tradies who work on their own make quotes and GST invoices on site. You can also turn on a free public page where customers in Australia and New Zealand send you work. It’s a quote and invoice app, not job management.
What is invoicebetter.app?
invoicebetter.app is the customer storefront. Customers pick the items you add in the Invoice Better iOS app and send an order or quote request. Those inbound leads land in the app. The same app is where you send your own quotes and GST invoices. invoicebetter.com.au is the marketing site for the app and for listing there.
Is Invoice Better free?
Yes. Free: up to 3 clients, 5 invoices sent a month and 3 saved price-list items. Starter packs are free and don’t count toward the 3 items. Premium lifts the client, invoice and price-list limits.
How much is Invoice Better Premium?
Premium is A$7.99 a month, A$59.99 a year, or A$79.99 once for a lifetime licence. Prices are in AUD and include GST, as listed on the Australian App Store. You pay through Apple and can cancel a subscription any time in your Apple settings. Premium gives you unlimited clients, invoices and saved price-list items, your logo on invoices, and no Invoice Better footer.
Does Invoice Better work with no signal?
Yes. You can make GST invoices with no signal and no account. Sending needs a connection, and your public page needs a free account.
Does Invoice Better make ATO tax invoices?
Yes. With GST turned on, each invoice says “Tax Invoice” and shows your ABN, the date, the GST and the total, like a $1,836 fence plus $183.60 GST, so $2,019.60 all up. For sales of $1,000 or more, add the customer’s name or ABN, as the ATO requires.
Is Invoice Better on Android?
Not yet. Invoice Better is for iPhone and iPad, and needs iOS 17 or later.
Does Invoice Better work with Xero or MYOB?
Yes, by CSV export. Export your invoices as CSV and import them into Xero or MYOB at BAS time. There’s no direct sync.
Can I use Invoice Better if I’m not registered for GST?
Yes. Switch GST off and Invoice Better sends a plain invoice, without “Tax Invoice” or GST on it. You must register for GST once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 a year, according to the ATO. When you register, switch GST back on.
Is Invoice Better a job management app like Tradify or ServiceM8?
No. Invoice Better is only for quotes and invoices. It has no scheduling, dispatch, staff timesheets or recurring invoices. If you run a team and need those, a job management app like Tradify, ServiceM8 or Fergus is the better fit.
