Privacy Policy

Policy IB-PP-2.0 · replaces IB-PP-1.0 (31 August 2026)

Invoice Better is an iPhone and iPad invoicing app published by Big Screen Entertainment Pty Ltd (ABN 71 006 931 675), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This policy covers four surfaces. They are not the same product.

1. Who we are

Legal name: Big Screen Entertainment Pty Ltd. Product name: Invoice Better. Privacy contact: [email protected]. Product support: [email protected].

2. The iOS app — what stays on your device

You do not need an Invoice Better account to create invoices. The following stay on the device (SwiftData / local files). We do not host them and cannot restore them if you delete the app:

• Invoices, quotes and receipts you create in the app, including PDFs
• Client names, emails, phones, addresses and tax numbers you type in
• Your invoice logo / monogram
• Bank / BSB / account / PayID details you enter for the payment block on a PDF
• Catalog items until you choose to publish them to a Public Page

Sending an invoice uses Apple Mail or the iOS share sheet. That traffic is between you and the recipient, not our servers.

We do not sell invoice content, client lists or pricing. We do not use invoice PDFs for advertising.

3. The iOS app — what we collect when you use cloud features

This is the change in IB-PP-2.0. Earlier versions of the App Store privacy label said the developer does not collect data from the app. That was true when the app was on-device only. This version collects the data below when you sign in or publish a Public Page. It matches the App Store nutrition label for this binary.

3.1 Account (optional)

Sign-in is optional for invoicing. It is required to go live with a Public Page or to receive quote/lead inbox items. You can use email and password or Sign in with Apple.

• Email address — to create and recover the account
• Name — from Sign in with Apple on first authorisation, if you share it
• User ID — an account identifier we issue (also used so a paid subscription follows the same account)

Passwords are handled by our auth provider. We do not see Apple payment-card numbers. Hide My Email is Apple’s feature; we receive the relay address Apple gives us.

3.2 Public Page profile

If you publish a page on invoicebetter.app, we store and display what you save in Public Page settings:

• Business name
• Phone number and address you choose to show customers
• Short description, profession / category, brand colour
• Cover photo (optional) for the public quote page. Chosen with the system photo picker (not full Photo Library access). We re-encode on the device and strip EXIF/GPS before upload. Invoice logos stay on the device and are not uploaded. The owner can replace or remove a cover in the app. Report a cover: [email protected].
• Published price list / catalog (service names, prices, formulas) when you tap Publish

3.3 Purchases

Invoice Better Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to check entitlement status (are you Pro?). We do not receive or store payment-card numbers, bank accounts, or Apple ID passwords. Purchase history is linked to your account ID if you have signed in.

3.4 Analytics

• TelemetryDeck — anonymised product events (app launched, onboarding steps, paywall, and similar). An install identifier is hashed on the device. We do not send your email or name to TelemetryDeck. This is not advertising tracking and we do not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• Owner events on our backend — for example that you shared your Public Page. Those events are stored against your business account so your own stats work.

Region for GST/tax defaults is read from the device locale on the device. We do not collect GPS or coarse location from the app.

3.5 App Store privacy nutrition label (this binary)

This is the same declaration as App Store Connect for Invoice Better. Policy IB-PP-2.0. None of this data is used for tracking. Invoices, clients, bank details and invoice logos stay on the device and are not in this label.

Not collected from this app: payment card numbers, precise or coarse location, contacts, crash logs, invoice PDFs, client lists, bank details, invoice logos.

4. This website (invoicebetter.com.au)

The marketing site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R3NP31H2SG) for page views and similar usage events. Google’s privacy policy applies to that processing. You can opt out with browser settings or a GA opt-out tool.

We do not use that analytics stream to collect the contents of your invoices.

5. Free GST invoice generator

Form fields (business name, ABN, client, line items, notes) stay in your browser for the session. If you choose “email a copy”, the address you type and a summary of that invoice are sent through Zapier so we can deliver the PDF. Do not use the generator if you do not want that optional email path.

6. invoicebetter.app (customer storefront)

invoicebetter.app is the customer storefront for businesses who have gone live from the iOS app. A customer who orders or requests a quote submits name, email, phone if provided, job details and message. We store that request long enough to deliver it to the business in the iOS app. Treat invoicebetter.app as a hosted storefront, not as local-only storage.

That customer data is collected on the website, not from the iOS binary. The iOS app reads it for the signed-in owner.

7. Who processes data for us

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks in the app. We do not share app data with data brokers.

8. What we do not do

• We do not require an Invoice Better login to create an on-device invoice.
• We do not upload invoices, client lists, bank details or invoice logos.
• We do not access your full photo library. Cover photos and logos use the system picker. Saving a QR code to Photos is write-only.
• We do not collect precise or coarse location from the app.
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for ads.
• We do not use your invoice PDFs for advertising.

9. Retention

• On-device invoicing data: until you delete it in Settings, delete the app, or use Delete Account.
• Account and Public Page: until you delete the account in-app, or ask us to delete it.
• Cover photos and published catalog: while the page exists.
• Storefront quote/lead requests: as required to deliver them to the business.
• TelemetryDeck events: as retained by TelemetryDeck in anonymised form.
• Website analytics: as retained by Google Analytics.
• Generator form data: browser session. Optional generator emails: only for sending.

10. Your rights and deleting data

You can ask what personal information we hold and ask us to correct or delete it where we actually hold it. Email [email protected] or [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account removes your sign-in, attempts to take down the Public Page, and erases invoices, clients and catalog on that device. Settings → Data → Delete All Data erases on-device records without deleting the sign-in.

Data that exists only on your iPhone cannot be deleted by us remotely. Delete the app, use the in-app erase, or both.

Apple subscriptions are managed in your Apple ID settings (Settings → Account → Manage Subscription in the app opens that path). Deleting the Invoice Better account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription.

11. Children

Invoice Better is a business invoicing product. It is not directed at children under 13.

12. Changes

We stamp each published policy with a code (IB-PP-2.0 on this page). We will change the code and the date at the top when collection practices change. A major bump (3.0) means we started collecting a new category of data. A minor bump (2.1) is wording only.
