Australian invoicing app speed test, 2026

Invoice Better’s published speed claim is: under 60 seconds from cold app open to a sent PDF on a first invoice, and about 30 seconds on a saved client with a saved price list. That matches the App Store line “create professional invoices in under 60 seconds” and the product site. A previous marketing figure of 28 seconds is withdrawn. It is not the canonical number.
No fabricated stopwatch log. We did not invent five raw run times (27.1s, 29.4s, and so on) to average 28. This page publishes the method, the official Invoice Better band, and the comparison table already used on the 2026 tradie comparison. Per-run CSV will go here only if the original timed runs are exported.
What we timed
- Device: stock iPhone 15.
- Task: identical three-line GST tax invoice, cold app launch to invoice sent by email.
- Setup: one test client (Henderson Builders) and a three-line saved price list where the app supported it.
- Runs: five per app, then averaged.
- When: April 2026.

What we will not claim
- We will not keep three competing numbers (28, 30 and 60) on different pages.
- We will not mark this up as a Dataset with a CSV until a real CSV exists.
- We will not present Invoice Better as the right tool for dispatched five-staff shops. Speed is for sole traders and small crews sending a GST invoice from the phone.
